EMC Senior Project Manager Earns IGSHPA Accreditation

Nationally recognized certification is required on more and more projects

Environmental Mechanical Contractors’ Senior Project Manager Marcus Howell has successfully completed NATE training and testing requirements and has earned his certification as an IGSHPA Accredited and NATE Certified geothermal heat pump loop installer.

The IGSHPA accreditation is the recognized national standard for proper geothermal system design, assembly and installation of heat pump systems, with associated plumbing, electrical, controls and duct work.

Energy Dashboard Helps Building Managers Save Money at BOMA’s 2012 KC Commercial Real Estate Expo

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth at the BOMA 2012 Kansas City Commercial Real Estate Expo. 
We were delighted to showcase Environmental Mechanical Service and our newest offering, BuildingLogiX, at the event which was held in May 2012 at historic Union Station.   
BuildingLogiX -powered by Niagara- is a web-based, non-proprietary building management system that includes operational dashboards and systems diagnostics for maximum equipment and building performance. 

Overland Park Sheraton Helicopter Lift

 Environmental Mechanical Contractors recently coordinated a helicopter lift to set a 100-ton condenser unit and stacked DX coils on the roof of the 20-story Overland Park Sheraton.

Environmental Mechanical successfully completed the project to provide the building with adequate make-up air capacity. The company also installed 22 manual balance dampers in the supply and exhaust risers on the roof so that the system can be more accurately balanced.

MSCA 26th Annual Educational Conference

David DeBiasse, EMC Executive Vice President, was part of the winning team that took First Place at the Annual AirAdvice/ MSCA Golf Tournament in October 2011. 
The tournament was part of the Mechanical Service Contractors of America 26th Annual Educational Conference held in Colorado Springs.
The conference covered a multitude of topics, including service excellence, team building and energy benchmarking.

Environmental Mechanical successfully completes Bayer 1st Floor and Basement Renovation Project

EMC recently completed a 17,500 square foot renovation project at the Bayer industrial facility in Kansas City, Missouri and was extremely pleased to receive a letter of appreciation from the general contractor on the project, McCownGordon Construction.   

The project, which updated the entire MEP system and architectural features, was confined to the first floor and basement mechanical rooms of a single building of the “campus” facility.
