Custer Hill Beddown Facility, Fort Riley

  • Design/build, 56,000 square feet, LEED Silver construction.
  • New construction of 10 separate buildings, including brigade and battalion headquarters, company operations, band training and tactical vehicle maintenance facilities to upgrade facilities.
  • EMC worked with the mechanical engineers to develop a concept with desired LEED points and within an established budget for the project.
  • EMC participated in planning meetings with the architectural team (architects, engineers and U.S. Army Corp of Engineers), in the cost analysis of the design and the LEED points, and in the performance verification, testing commissioning and owner training of the system.
  • Designed within standards set by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and all engineering practices required to obtain the LEED points.
